Thomas (TJ) Murphy is a dedicated attorney whose journey from the classroom to the courtroom reflects his deep commitment to service and connection. A proud Montana native, TJ grew up with a an appreciation for the values of hard work and community. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in History from Carroll College in Helena, MT, where his passion for teaching and mentoring flourished.
TJ’s early career as an educator allowed him to inspire and guide students, but his desire for a new challenge led him to pursue a legal career. Following in his oldest sister’s footsteps, TJ attended Gonzaga University School of Law, earning his J.D. as well as Pro Bono distinction. Drawing on his experience in teaching and his Montana roots, TJ brings a unique perspective to the legal field, characterized by a strong sense of empathy and a genuine commitment to his clients.
In his legal practice, TJ’s primary goal is to connect with clients on a personal level and provide them with the highest quality of service. His background in education has honed his skills in communication, problem-solving, and dedication to client needs. Whether navigating complex legal issues or offering strategic advice, TJ’s approach is always client-centered and results-oriented.
Outside of the office, TJ enjoys being active, spending time with his wife Madeline, a practicing attorney in Tacoma, and their dog, Flynn. TJ and Madeline are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first child, arriving October 2024.
